Sadly, my namesake Terry never quite won this race (2nd once). Although I saw the theme fairly quickly (also solving on the right day), I did the clue-solving bit first and then found the Wikipedia list of winners – I only recognised a few of the names, and soon gave up trying to find the edge ones without help. It was only after I realised some horses were mising that I found the ones lurking in the preamble.
