Thanks, Uncle Yap, for blogging another Mudd.
Immaculately clued crossword, yet on a different level than his Guardian ones.
Even so, I'm glad (??) to see that his 'smutty' clues [as people use to call them] do creep in here as well.
What about 26ac (TRENDY) with the inescapable 'bottom', or 6d (CANDLELIT) in which the innocent solution is clued with all kinds of nuts?

(More) Highlights for me: the splendid surfaces of 5ac (OCELOT) and 2d (UNDEMONSTRATIVE), plus the witty 19d (WAGE).

But Clue of the Day: LEG BEFORE WICKET (7d).
I don't know anything about cricket [and I don't wánt to know], but the clue is very clever, because - even though it's more or less clear that it is an anagram - it is nót instantly clear what the anagrind is - Feeble? Blown Off? Off?
So, clearly my Clue of the Day.
[if only Mudd/Paul would reanimate his Clue of the Week .... :(]
