Appeal of bells

As some of you already know, we — Jane Teather (Jetdoc) and John Henderson (Enigmatist/Elgar/Nimrod/Io) — are getting married this Friday, 23 July. This is a truly cruciverbal match — we met through crosswords, and our shared love of (obsession with?) crosswords is very important to us.
Please raise a glass to us sometime after noon on Friday. Also, we’d like to make a request on behalf of our friend Hannah, who has cerebral palsy and is raising sponsorship to take part in a fundraising project for Scope. A quick look at today`s Engimatist puzzle suggests that it will be at least two pintas raised in your honour this lunchtime….not too surprising as I`ve never finished one in less!
