Re.SUIT I think the “propose” definition of “press one’s suit” is rarely used today.

Wonder why my PinC didn’t know ‘press one’s suit’ …… :)

Now I’ve come to understand that it means ‘to propose’ or ‘to ask for someone’s hand’ [which isn't there in any of the online sources - Collins, Oxford nor Chambers, etc], please forgive me when I still don’t like this clue – mainly because of ‘admirer’.

But I did learn something today, so thanks for that!

As always with Armonie a lot of anagrams, insertions and straightforward charades – no tricks, not treats either.
Having said that, it was an enjoyable solve.
Undemanding – it didn’t take that much longer than two cups of Morning Coffee.
NEVER MIND (2d) was nice, as were EVEN THEN (8d) and ADDERS (22d).

And I did need the blog, to understand AMUSEMENT (13ac).
Never seen KL for Kuala Lumpur before, but it had to be that.

One of the clues you thought stood out, was 11d (SUIT).
Even after asking my PinC, I still don’t get it (fully).
Maybe you, or somebody else, can ‘help’ me?
