After drawing two Saturday Anax puzzles in a row, including one of which I barely managed half, I’ll admit to being a little relieved to see Radian appear this week. Radian has consistently produced some of my favourite Saturday puzzles, and this one was a lot of fun too.

Solving time: 12 minutes
If you didn’t solve this puzzle and are confused by the title of this blog, you have probably fallen into the same trap as me. I spent three minutes at the end of this trying to work out why ‘tier’ should define TWINE and looking for an alternative answer. Only after looking up ‘tier’ did I twig that a tier is something that ties. Very much 1-0 to Araucaria.

Straightforward clues this week – no twist of any sort. Then, find a quotation, its source and the real name of the writer - Sounds easy but may be “Un peu difficile”, if you get my drift. But it’s pen, ink and marker pens this week.
