Effortless clueing which indeed didn&#039;t overtax my brain cells, but it was elegant as ever.

Only one clue did stump me.
I hád DAIS at 20d, but didn&#039;t understand why (apart from DAIS being a &#039;platform&#039;). I thought &quot;is said to be&quot; pointed in the direction of a homophone for &quot;unstable&quot; - and I couldn&#039;t get rid of that idea. But it was just &quot;unstable&quot; as an anagrind for &quot;said&quot;. 
Looking at it like this, it&#039;s a simple but very clever (because potentially misdirecting) clue.]]></description>
