Chambers defines ‘eat’ (transitive) as ‘to worry’, not ‘to worry about’. ‘Stop eating me!’ is a common instance of this use. I reluctantly then parsed this clue as: anag. of {re + (dr)ink(er)} in ate. Jetdoc is right to be cautious, as her final words show.
