Financial Times 13,828 / Dogberry

Gaufrid.

I was not expecting to see Dogberry today as it is only a month since his last appearance and normally he only turns up about once every three months. However, I’m not complaining. For the most part I found this quite straightforward, making steady progress and thinking that it would be all over rather quickly. That was until I came to my last unsolved clue, 9ac, which took me as much time to parse as the rest of the puzzle put together (and I’m still not sure that I have it right).

Guardian 25,457 / Gordius

This is the third Gordius puzzle I have blogged of his most recent four – almost enough to make me paranoid. ;-)  I shall resort to the traditional summary [and I'm not the only one to use it] – a fairly typical mixed bag, I think.

Inquisitor 1198 – What? When? by Schadenfreude

Hihoba.

I found this one “challenging” (i.e. very difficult!). It was worth persevering with, and would have been much easier if you spotted the theme early, which I didn’t. Had I read the paper on Friday and seen its banner headline, that would have helped a lot!
