Bachelor has no place in committed couple (4,3,4)

Thanks to David H for the clue, the answer to which is Race for Life, which I have already mentioned in my Cyclops blog. Now, with less than a week to go, it’s time to go a bit more public…
Next Saturday, 7 July, I will be taking part in Race for Life, a 10k run round Finsbury Park in aid of Cancer Research UK. Many thanks to people who have already sponsored me. If you too would like to support my effort (and, believe me, it will be a considerable one!), then please visit my fundraising page:
I cannot promise photos, but don’t rule out the possibility altogether.

Good luck! ‘Last time for front running: a free frolic?’

I could at least parse Robi’s clue to that answer. Jetdoc, was this from one of those ghastly barred grids I only seem to ever get three answers on when I try them?

Huw; (I think!) it’s just (b)RACE FOR LIFE [committed couple.] I stand to be corrected if that’s wrong.

It’s a clue without definition. The wordplay is as explained by Robi. A more complete clue might read “Bachelor has no place in committed couple. Run for it! (4,3,4)”.
