Maybe it was because, unusually for me, I resorted to the Pink ‘un itself rather printing off the online version – or maybe it was because the sun was out – but, in any case, I found this a brisk and jolly solve. No serious complaints, no serious difficulties, and all in all an excellent puzzle. Thank-you, Orense.

This was a crossword that did not have complex wordplay, but it was still an enjoyable challenge. The wordplay in majority of the clues followed an additive or double definition route.

Monday Prize Crossword/Jul 2
First of all, many many thanks to Flashling who was so kind to blog all four of the June Monday Prize Crosswords. It must have been hard to adjust to the level as he is more a champion of Nestor, Anax, Bannsider, Dac and the like. When this blog appears, I am perhaps (who knows, not me) on the way back to the UK after kind of camping in my Utrecht property for several weeks. If so, how nice to be back with a Dante.
