   There is no error in the online version.

3. Thanks for the blog, agree with KVa , logarithm and algorithm very easy to confuse being anagrams . Sine is the function but nearly always written as sin and shown as such on the calculator, quite rare to see the full sine used in a crossowrd.
   Great to see DIRAC in a puzzle, the favourite of all theoretical physicists but virtually unknown to the public. Amongst a great body of work he predicted anti-matter , the positron turning up in the famous Dirac equation , he even beat the science fiction writers.

4. SELLOTAPE – “What video stores do, stocking old sticker” – maybe did?

5. NINJA – “…Columbus’s ship” – There’s a joke/mnemonic in Spanish of which the punchline is “¡Santa María, qué Pinta lleva la Niña!”

6. ‘A real corker’, as you say, Turbolegs and a most enjoyable challenge.

   I had no problem with 12ac LOGARITHM – there were no algorithms in my school Maths, decades ago. 😉 and enjoyed working out the wordplay.
   Other favourites were 17ac OSIRIS, for being a different underworld boss from Dis, 19ac CONSERVE – I chortled at the ambiguity of the first three letters, which Turbolegs diplomatically didn’t enlarge on in the blog, 22ac INCLEMENT, for the surface – I’m wondering if I’ve ever heard of weather being described as ‘clement’, 27ac DRAWERS, also for making me smile, 4dn YEARLING, for being so well hidden as to make me groan when I finally saw it, 6dn UNDERPASS, for the surface, 14dn LEICESTER, for the construction and because it’s my home and 16dn SOFTENED, my last one in, again for the construction.

9. Very good as usual from Buccaneer. Satisfying to finally solve SQUAWK, SOFTENED and WORSTED, my last three in which were slow to yield. I liked the maths & physics related clues.

17. Thanks Buccaneer. Like always I started in the NW and I thought I would never solve this. Fortunately the SW was penetrable and I slowly worked back to the NW with SELLOTAPE my LOI. My top picks were JOURNEY, SQUAWK, LOGARITHM, SIDELINE, INCLEMENT (like cement as the setter), SABOT, NOOKY, and UNDERPASS. Thanks Turbolegs for the blog.

24. Having studied electric engineering I was pleased to see Dirac featured in the clues. Dirac delta functions were a staple in our course.

    Enjoyed Sledge. A bit that undoubtedly going on in the Ashes.
