There were some beautiful surfaces, of which I will plump for 16d as my overall favourite. Add to those one NHO (Psalters) and a reference to Chay Blyth, which took me back to childhood trips to Greenwich, there was a lot in this that I very much enjoyed.

I solved most of the puzzle pretty steadily before my stupidity necessitated a couple of letter reveals at the end. My podium goes to ABSORB, STICKERS and SATIATED.
I parsed TSETSE as SET (station) in a cycled version of SET (kit, I guess as in Airfix set/kit?)

Thanks Baldur! 24a just cracked and parsed as Coot did above – SET in SET cycled. Favourite is 21a, v amusing (and no doubt true…)
I took 11a as a double definition, split between “determine” and “frequency”. First definition relates to bank bosses determining the rate of interest charged on loans. Second definition relates to “swiping right” to indicate interest on dating apps.

Thanks Baldur for an enjoyable crossword full of good surfaces. My top picks were ABSORB, SATIATED, STICKERS, NOTABLES, IMITATED, and IF ONLY. It wasn’t all smooth sailing for me, however, as I had to reveal OCH AYE (not knowing the expression or CHAY) and TSETSE; I couldn’t parse INTEREST RATE (I like Quirister’s explanation) and STUTTERS (I didn’t try hard enough as it’s clear in retrospect). The standard of these Featured Crosswords is really quite high, some weeks I’d say superior to some of the daily newspapers’ offerings.

I agree with Coot and Quirister’s comments. Pleased to remember Chay Blyth and relieved it was him, as I couldn’t remember the names of any others. I would add ULTIMATE to the podium for the neat separation of “at” and “last”
