  1. I thought this one was a little harder than most Everyman puzzles, and I needed all the checkers to get CITHERS. INVESTMENT was my LOI.

  2. Thanks Everyman and Lorraine.

I think I tried ALL OVER THE SHOW at the beginning. I particularly liked INSOMNIAC. I know that this is supposed to be a relatively easy crossword but I thought ‘tide rising’ for EDIT was too straightforward – maybe sea or some such?

I agree with jvh@2 that the ‘briefly’ in 16D is more likely indicating removal of only one letter i.e. in Tele(x).

  3. Super to see other NZ residents enjoying ARAUCARIA’s crossword puzzles. I really enjoy reading the answers and comments. For those of you who would like to know more of the compiler’s history ( he unfortunately contracted cancer and died last November ) some truly amazing obituaries were published in overseas papers eg Guardian and Telegraph. I hope I’ve spelled his code name correctly, if not, you could also google John Graham.
