3) Gordon Brown as UK Chancellor touting his budget based on PRUDENCE?
4) Bonnie Raitt playing her BOTTLENECK guitar
The last two are a bit of a stretch:
Top left, I think, is a stage set for the Brecht play “The Good Soul of Sechuan,” but I can’t see any link to the solutions other than the (mis)TREATMENT of the principal character in the play.
Top right is a picture of Laplanders, some of whom TRAVERSE their territory herding their reindeer, and use a travois or LITTER to drag their loads.
Or I might be completely wrong.
Anyway, thank you scchua for an interesting diversion every now and then
Hi Freddy, you got Pic4 right: Bonnie Raitt playing the slide or bottleneck guitar – the bottleneck device, which looks, well, like a bottleneck, can be seen on the middle finger of her left hand.
Other answers:
Pic1: A TRAVERSE stage, where part of the audience sits facing the other part.
Pic2: The EVENS, a people in Siberia.
Pic3: Chancellor Gordon Brown who was criticised for introducing STEALTH taxes.
Thanks for participating
