  1. Well, I can see the pictures, but nothing leaps to mind, unless the last one is a sIBERIAn tiger (but it looks Bengali), or the lady in the previous picture has crossed her ARMs. I’ll get my hat and coat.

  3. More challenging than usual scchua so here’s a couple of longshots:

    1) Some of the punters will be BETTER OFF as a result of that leading horse winning the race – and I suppse the punters cold be called BETTERs

    7) The girl is in detention beacause she and her teacher had a DISAGREEMENT

    Pic1: The PATENT is a type of combination bet (on horses,say), as could be placed with bookmakers William Hill.
    Pic2: The GODMOTHER is a cocktail with vodka and amaretto.
    Pic3: Each of those could be an ORDINARY on a shield in a heraldic coat of arms.
    Pic4: A tea bush, perhaps from which you might get EARL Grey.
    Pic5: At the end of the neck of the double bass, those knobs are HAT PEGs or HAT PEG tuners.
    Pic6: She is modelling PATENT leather clothes.
    Pic7: DITCHing is an Americanism for skipping class. On reflection, I could have shown a better picture (but this one illustrated an article on truancy).
