Financial Times 14,742 by ORENSE

I enjoyed this pleasant little puzzle from our old pal Orense.

Perhaps not perfect – I didn’t like the re-use of “case”, 13ac. dates from the early Bronze Age, and the whole thing was a pretty straightforward solve – but it was good fun for a Thursday morning. Thank-you, Orense.

  1. Ringo’s right. A good, fun crossword, but several longueurs (e.g. 6dn ‘sell’ in definition and ‘sales’ in solution). But keep them coming, Orense, we enjoy them a lot.

  2. 23 caused me the most problems but otherwise a gentle easy solve. Think really I got stuck looking for a word meaning head, rather than head doctor so nice misdirection. Thanks S&B.

  3. Thanks Orense and Ringo

Found this at the bottom of a pile and it made for a gentle, but enjoyable solve on the train home tonight.

Last couple in were the well-disguised SHRINKWRAP and ASLEEP.

Didn’t parse SKEWERS … for no good reason.
