Financial Times 15,705 – Falcon

Monday Prize Crossword / Nov 13, 2017

A Falcon puzzle which I found very easy but it will surely have pleased those longing for a gentle start of the FT week.

Not too challenging but there were some real crackers among the clues.

Definitions are underlined wherever possible and/or appropriate.

Across
1 STAR WARS Big names describing realistic revolutionary film (4,4)
STARS (big names) around reversal [revolutionary] of RAW (realistic)
The film that everybody seems to love but I didn’t even see.
Anything with ‘war’ makes me walk the other way.

Only every now and then, Falcon does cryptic definitions.
This one, I thought, was lovely.

I inside CLAMANT (noisy)
Indeed, ‘I must interrupt’ and not just ‘I interrupt’.

    Thanks Falcon and Sil

Yes, quite a straightforward puzzle that I did on the day. Nothing too hard … and everything that was there was clearly and precisely clued.

    A pleasure to do.
