  1. Good stuff. 13a has one N and two T’s, so I (one) + T (time) in anagram (drunk) of TAVERN with BEER. Thanks to S&B.

  2. Thanks for the blog, PeeDee

I solved just over half of this and found it neither good nor straightforward. 2 & 19 I find particularly bad.

  3. Thanks Artexelen and PeeDee
Enjoyable tussle taking a little longer than normal for this setter. Interesting to see the three different variations of ON in the wordplay of 10 (riding), 19d (around) and 21 (running).
Hadn’t heard of that definition of ‘snug’ before and an interesting way to define ICARUS which I had to look up to check.
Not too sure what was wrong with 2 or 19 – they look pretty valid clues too me – unless clever misdirection is now qualifying as “particularly bad”.

  4. Thanks to Artexlen and PeeDee. I’m just getting started with downloading FT puzzles, so I’m a bit behind. I did not get Quinoa but much enjoyed the rest.
