Azed 2441

I’m afraid left too long between solving the puzzle and writing the blog to remember how I found it at the time (and didn’t make any notes). I think it probably counts as medium difficulty, with a couple of clues where the parsing took a while to work out. Thanks to Azed

  1. I, too, couldn’t parse 28dn, so thanks everybody.  Couldn’t parse9dn and 30ac either.  A grin is a snare?  I didn’t know that.

2442 is in my copy of the paper.  Just looked at it before starting breakfast.

  2. Bob Sharkey is not alone. Some of us can’t pop out to a newsagent 10,000 miles away.

The Guardian almost pleads with me to contribute or subscribe. Yet they inflict on me withdrawal symptoms probably more comparable with a 1950s BBC period drama set in some “institution”.
