RIP – Andy Stewart
Andy Stewart, who set as Dysart has passed away.
He produced 18 Listener crosswords and 14 Inquistor crosswords and appeared in the Enigmatic Variations, the Magpie and the Crossword Centre.
When he retired from teaching in 1990, he moved to Pattaya in Thailand where he enjoyed his hobby of bird-watching, taking thousands of photos. He suffered from a lung disease last year and died in hospital from a heart attack on July 14, aged 79.
Sorry to hear Andy has died. I met him many years ago in Thailand.

Very sorry to hear that Andy has died. He was a great help to me when I started to set puzzles and really didn’t have a clue…or not a valid one anyway.
His own puzzles were always brilliant and I will miss them and the e-mails from Thailand.
