Cyclops laughs in the face of ‘Dry January’ (although I prefer to think of it as ‘Dry Gin-uary’…)
…with almost every clue and/or solution having alcoholic/inebriant connotations.
Solvers, or WASSAILERs, must get PIE-EYED, RAT-ARSED, PISSED AS A NEWT, DOPED, SMASHED, HALF-CUT, PLASTERED, BRAHMS AND LISZT drinking TODDY during BOOZE-UPS at ALEHOUSES and other LOCALES, until they suffer from DYSPHASIA and have to go for a LIE DOWN!
(After all that, there might need to be a bit of RADIOLOGY on the liver as well…)
Cheers! Hic…

Thanks for the blog , a very impressive use of the theme , I suppose it highlights how many words we actually use for drinking alcohol .
Very minor quibble for science=RADIOLOGY , I suspect some dictionaries may give cover for the setter but I take the updated Rutherford view – All science is Particle Physics , the rest is just colouring-in .
A very Roz-ian quibble! Nice to see you back…
Thanks mc_rapper67 and Cyclops. The boozy theme made this a doddle, a nice easy one after the Christmas biggie. The answers just slipped in. A gentle start to the new year.
Cheers mc_rapper67 & Cyclops. I love the the ’round’ up. I managed to get through this one, mostly with a beer in hand. I marked 1/22d and 2 down as favourites. I particularly liked 1/22d which had me chuckling no end. Welcome back Roz from me also.
Thank you mc and Franko , it is good to be back .
I’m with Roz….and welcome back!
Radiology is more the use of science I feel! But I love the colouring in comment!!
