A lovely start to the week from Bobcat with his trademark nina to go along with 26a.
Favourites today included the neat SAVIOUR, TROPHY and AD NAUSEAM.
    Thanks Bobcat and Teacow.

A bit of a battle I found. Liked detritus.

    There’s much I don’t understand here.

Why is mavin “Trump’s expert”, rather than just “expert”?

Why is create “make a fuss” rather than just “make”?

And the description of a dumb waiter as an “agency” seems odd.

    Thanks for the solution!

  4. Teacow

Steve@3… so MAVIN is American slang I think. CREATE is in Chambers as “make a fuss”

  5. Steve

Ah OK thanks, I didn’t know this convention of [President’s] meaning [American word for]
