Didn’t seem to take long but still didn’t feel all that easy while it lasted.
Had the similar problem of writing in CONFORM originally at 20d but after not finding any appropriate answer with an ending M at 28a, was finally able to find HESITANT (which was painfully obvious in hindsight) and correct 20d to CONSORT to complete the puzzle.
