    Unfortunately, 8 doesn’t work. It’s clearly intended as a reverse embed, but the letters actually give TORORE.

  2. Thanks to Sleuth and scchua. Except for 8d I much enjoyed this puzzle. I did first think of swatch rather than STITCH but quickly saw my error and had to check that lock in SCHLOCK was indeed a rugby term. LOI was BODYWORK where I needed all the crossers even though I was thinking of estate car.

    A pretty straightforward offering from Sleuth and a shame with the misspelling of the reverse TORERO.  Didn’t fully parse the ‘estate’ (car) part of BODYWORK which was my last one in.
