A message from Puck:
The brand new 2020 3D Crossword Calendar is now available to order through the website: http://www.calendarpuzzles.co.uk/calendar-puzzle/
As usual, there are 12 beautifully presented 3D Crossword puzzles by some of your favourite crossword compilers, with another selection of interesting and devilish themes. Puzzle setters for 2020 include eight regulars from the Guardian (Arachne, Enigmatist, Nutmeg, Pasquale, Puck, Qaos, Tramp and Vlad) and two others whose puzzles are blogged here (Eclogue and Shark). The puzzles also feature cryptic drawings by Frank Paul.
For the 2020 calendar, both a printed version (£13.50 + P&P) and a virtual downloadable version (£12.00) are available. They make great Christmas presents apparently, especially the printed version. The 3D project is also supported by monthly newsletters giving competition results and solver feedback, along with explanations of puzzles.
All profits from the sale of the calendar will be split between RNIB and BBC Children in Need.
So whether you are already an experienced 3D solver, or just interested in trying something new (and not too tricky once you’ve got the hang of the extra dimension involved), please come and join us for 2020 and have fun supporting our two great charities.
The 3D Crossword Calendar team thank you very much in advance for your support.
I fully endorse Puck’s message, particularly as it is Children In Need next Friday. We really need to spread the word, please everyone. If you could go down to your local pub, church, supermarket etc and supply them with a free calendar (on the understanding that it will be promoted, of course!), then that would raise our profile.
The calendar is a fantastic Christmas present!!
John
Got mine through yesterday – it’s lovely, as ever, and lots of fun. John H’s message seconded.
I have ordered (and promptly received) the online version as I love the 3D Calendar puzzles. It has opened up a whole new crossword community for me and what a friendly, genuine lot they are. Many of my favourite Guardian setters contribute too. Strongly recommended.
Just ordered three print calendars, one of which I shall keep for myself. I have good memories of the full set of puzzles in the 2018 calendar and have the appetite for more.
Thanks in advance to the setters, the organisers and all involved in the project.
Recently completed a superb Enigmatist [Who he? – Ed] for this year’s October puzzle, and about to start November’s Anax, with the Christmas tree puzzle from Puck himself to finish the year off.
Highly recommended for some brilliant clueing and ingenuity in the grids. Nice to have the hard copy back for 2020 after this year’s virtual one.
On behalf of the 3D Crossword Calendar team can I thank everyone who has bought a calendar so far. All profits from your purchase goes towards supporting youngsters in need through the RNIB and BBC Children in Need Appeal. There really is something for everyone in this year’s selection, so please spread the word and the love for this excellent product for some very worthy causes!
It’s Children in Need week, we would really appreciate everyone reading this telling their friends, getting on social media etc etc that this is a fabulous (birthday/Christmas/New Year present. Our President Eric Westbrook will be thrilled if we can break our sales record this year. Thanks everyone.
John
