A message from Puck:
The brand new 2021 3D Crossword Calendar is now available to order through the new 3D Crosswords website: https://3dcalendarpuzzles.co.uk
As usual, there are 12 beautifully presented 3D Crossword puzzles by some of your favourite crossword compilers, with another selection of interesting and devilish themes. Puzzle setters for 2021 include nine regulars from the Guardian (Arachne, Enigmatist, Imogen, Nutmeg, Pasquale, Puck, Qaos, Tramp and Vlad) and two others whose puzzles are blogged here (Shark and Curmudgeon, aka Chalicea). The puzzles also feature cryptic drawings by Frank Paul.
In addition to the 12 monthly crosswords there is an extra 13th puzzle in a bonus four-page pull-out celebrating the 100th anniversary of Araucaria’s birth. This puzzle is in the innovative form of a double sphere created specially by Sirius, with the clues set by Enigmatist. On the fourth page of the pull-out we have also included Araucaria’s first ever 3D puzzle from January 2009.
For the 2021 calendar, both a printed version (£13.50 + P&P) and a virtual downloadable version (£12.00) are available. They make great Christmas presents apparently, especially the printed version. The 3D project is also supported by monthly newsletters giving competition results and solver feedback, along with explanations of puzzles.
All profits from the sale of the calendar will be split between RNIB and BBC Children in Need.
So whether you are already an experienced 3D solver, or just interested in trying something new (and not too tricky once you’ve got the hang of the extra dimension involved), please come and join us for 2021 and have fun supporting our two great charities.
The 3D Crossword Calendar team thank you very much in advance for your support.
Puck
Ordered 4 this morning, so don’t anyone be surprised if you get one for Christmas.
Received mine this morning – not from Beet @1 though 😀 .
I think it’s the best-looking one yet, and all the puzzles look as intriguing as always. That Sirius/Enigmatist mega-special looks quite something.
Lovely tribute to Araucaria as well, and good to see a puzzle from Arachne, who doesn’t seem to have appeared in the dailies this year.
Highly recommended, and thank you to all the team.
Just ordered two, and one’s a present, but not for anyone above (sorry).
Ordered on Friday, arrived on Monday – impressively efficient operation!
An update in regard to the 2021 3D Crossword Calendar:
Thank you to all who have purchased one or more calendar, whether printed or virtual. Due to unexpectedly high demand, the printed version is currently no longer available. The virtual downloadable version is still available via the 3D Crosswords website: https://3dcalendarpuzzles.co.uk
