One of our regular setters is “Dictionary Corner” guest on Countdown this week.
On Tuesday’s episode (Click here) he explains, albeit brief and rushed, a little bit about how the majority of clues work.
His spot begins about 14 minutes into the programme.
Enjoy!
(I have now fixed the link)
The link doesn’t work for me – site can’t be reached
Rats! I did it on my phone. Fixed now.
Hi kenmac, I don’t know if it’s my location, but am getting message that this site can’t be reached.
Thanks.
Well I get a whole lot about signing in and giving passwords. I don’t have a password and simply want to watch. I won’t bother and will watch it (I’ve recorded the Tuesday edition).
Thanks for the link, kenmac. I watched the relevant section of yesterday’s Countdown episode on All4. Perhaps we now have more crosswording recruits.
Will waych.
And also watch.
Thanks. That’s cute. Nice it went out on national TV.
I haven’t seen Friday’s, but Dave Gorman also chatted about crossword cluing on (I think) Thursday’s episode.
