Many of you will be familiar with Bluth in The Independent, Fed in The Guardian and Django in The Telegraph.
It’s no secret that all three are the comedian, Dave Gorman, who has been setting crosswords since 2020.
Some of you may have seen his programme, Modern Life is Goodish, which has just started airing season 6 on the TV channel U&Dave (previously called Dave).
Fifteensquared gets more than a fleeting mention in episode 2, which is due to be broadcast on Monday March 3rd at 9pm. And it’s also available on U&Player (I think it’s called) via this link: https://u.co.uk/shows/dave-gorman-modern-life-is-goodish/watch-online.
I saw Dave in Dublin last year and a lot of the Fifteensquared material (and more) was also presented there.
Please enjoy and many thanks to Dave.
Saw that show in Canterbury last year. It was excellent, very funny. Did enjoy the crossword content.
Haven’t watched the TV version yet but I saw in the trailers that it also has the alphabetical alphabet, which was another highlight from the live show. Should be well worth watching.
I saw the show in Ipswich, good fun and I absolutely predicted the Nemesis to wife as soon as segment began. Incidentally there were meant to be four in the series unfortunately it was pulled for legal reasons after one of Dave’s skits was about a celebrity who disgraced himself and the lawyers pulled the plug. Thanks Dave enjoyed them.
I think you mean 2020, not 2000! Great comeback, his tour was hilarious and shame about the cut episode as there was some great Inside the Factory bits (I’ve since appropriated his ‘JCB Factory’ measurements).
I wonder if his nemesis has seen it…
@3. Well spotted! Fixed now.
Just caught this show. Very funny.
