“Each clue contains a single letter to be removed before solving; in clue order, these spell out what solvers should highlight in the completed grid, involving perhaps GOOD ADVICE? Chambers Dictionary (2016) is recommended.”
The letters to be removed spell AUTHOR AND FORM OF DO NOT GO GENTLE INTO THAT GOOD NIGHT, which is a VILLANELLE by DYLAN THOMAS.
I found this one to be on the easier side, with quite a lot of the extra letters guessable without solving the clues. In particular, getting 1ac – which was hardly tricky – set one up nicely for the rest of the grid fill. It was no less fun for that, though.
CUTTO is a new, and greatly enjoyable, word for me. ROLLERS is also new, but not as funny.
Let me know what you thought of it and your favourite clue by posting a comment below.

Thank you for the blog – this was the right entry level for me and I managed to finish it and highlight the author based on the extra letters. However, I didnt highlight the type of poem it was as I was chuffed at finishing it and forgot to read the full text of the omissions. I enyoyed it anyway.
