Enigmatic Variations 1737 All’s well that ends well by Kruger

A complex preamble – the useful bits – remove a word from all bar 2 clues and use the first and last letters to produce 4 messages. One is a quotation – the second message is an instruction based on the previous 4 words of the quotation. The third is the unchecked letters for the perimeter and the last a second instruction to put the speaker’s name in the grid. Then highlight what he’ll do no matter what.

As ever just solve the clues and then piece it all together later – First off the quotation

Then instruction four is to REPLACE ONE EXEMPLAR being JOBERNOWL with the author LORD BYRON who wrote the poem. (top row)

Finally refer to the previous line indicating the final piece of the puzzle is highlighting 21ac and the tick and cross (the 2 normal clues being 23 and 24 across) beneath it to represent I’ll publish right or wrong.
