Lorraine: Good morning to you all,
I start this week by thanking Everyman for a most enjoyable puzzle. I managed to romp through this weeks offering fairly quickly. Lots of favourites, to numerous to mention.
Thank you again Everyman a most enjoyable solve.

Fairly steady solve apart from 15d where i had j?h? g?e?n. All I could think of was John Green and despite running through all the Beatles names, I just couldn’t see anything else. In fact if someone had stood over me and told me to try again, I think I could have gone all week and still not got it.
Thanks for the blog Lorraine. I enjoyed this one too. Being old enough to remember my excitement during the early days of the space-race in the 1960s I got 15d straight off. John Glenn was the first US astronaut to orbit the earth – an achievement that is hinted at in the clue. He went on to become a US senator.
Usual smooth surfaces and very enjoyable to solve. Usual classic film reference.
Thanks Lorraine for a nice blog. I did like the clue for JOHN GLENN.
Thanks, Lorraine.
Usual fine stuff from this setter, and like Wolfie and Robi, I was a fan of the JOHN GLENN clue. And it’s clear from the regular appearances of old movies that Everyman is a film 19dn …
