I enjoyed this puzzle. Maybe it was because I knew whatever GK was needed, but I found this one towards the easier end of the IoS spectrum. OVERWORKED was my LOI after ROCK THE BOAT.
Certainly don’t remember any problems with this, but that may just be because of all the problems I was having with Saturday’s puzzle.
Thanks, scchua, for the explanation of “side” in 6a. Why on earth doesn’t 14d use “lying” instead of “laying”? I can’t see any cryptic significance to the solecism.
