We’re back to a relatively easy Eye crossword this time.
Scrunch in the answers but this had far from crunchy clues.
This was filled-in in short order with only a handful of answers missing after the first pass and they didn’t stay empty for long.
Pretty enjoyable for all that.

Back in December you added a Christmas Bonus cryptic and said you’d post the solution.
Having not completed it, I have been waiting so as to see where I went wrong.
Any chance of the solution on your next post?
Thanks beermagnet
Pajodr @ 1, if you mean the solution to the christmas Cyclops, it’s here:
http://www.fifteensquared.net/2016/01/04/private-eye-cyclops563-xmas-special-where-are-they-now/
hth
I suspect pajodr means the Enigmatist/JETDoc Christmas card that appeared at the end of the blog for Eye 562 by jetdoc here: http://www.fifteensquared.net/2015/12/20/cyclops-562-and-a-christmas-bonus
I expect jetdoc will provide the solutions when she blogs the next Eye crossword on her rotation in a fortnight…
Not that puzzle – on 20th Dec below the solution for Cyclops this puzzle was added as a bonus

(Sorry, but can’t figure out how to make that into a hyperlink on an iPad)
I gave it a go, but I couldn’t see fully how the answers needed to be manipulated before entering into the two grids. So I’ve been waiting on the promised solution.
…and it seems the hyperlink happened automatically anyway!
Oh, OK, misunderstood! Don’t remember that one!
Thanks beermagnet. It’s guaranteed every time you and jetdoc find it easy, I’ve struggled. Regarding 27 acc is CT for caught a recognised abbreviation – may be cricket reports?
Also regarding 8 down, what indicates that In Charge abbreviates to IC?
IC = in charge [of] as Cpt Mainwaring IC Warmington platoon.
CT, not an abbreviation for caught that I can find.
I’m sure CT for Caught in cricket has been used in crosswords often enough before.
Here is a cricketting abbreviation list with it at the top https://kaviscricket.wordpress.com/appendices/abbr/
It is probably more normally just C. Especially in C and B (Caught and Bowled)
Lowercase is the norm for these abbreviations in the scoresheet, I have capitalised them here for visibility.
Thanks beermagnet, my bad.
Thanks beermagnet & sidey..I’m older and hopefully a bit wiser now.
