It’s Phi-day again and this week, we found his puzzle rather trickier than usual.

As far as we can tell, this is Whynot’s first puzzle to be published in the Indy – and an excellent introductory offering it is!

We haven’t blogged a Maize puzzle for over a year and a half, so we looked forward to this Tuesday challenge.
S & B Leicester 2019 – Dalibor
For those not able to get to ‘The Old Horse’ for the Leicester S&B, or would prefer to tackle it later, Dalibor’s puzzle for the occasion is available at: Dalibor @ Leicester 2019
An interactive version is also available at www.crossword.info/S_and_B

Eccles takes the mid-week slot this week.
Independent 10,150 by Windsurfer
As far as we can tell, this is Windsurfer’s second published Indy puzzle. However, as far as fifteensquared is concerned, he has also compiled puzzles for S&B get-togethers in Derby in 2014 and 2106 and York in 2014. Perhaps there will be another for the Leicester S&B on 4th May? (Details on the home page)

It’s Good Phi-day today.
Independent 10,136 by Crosophile
Well – a bit of confusion in the B&J household yesterday, as this puzzle appeared in the subscription version of the Indy app, with the Tees puzzle that was blogged yesterday by Quirister appearing on the Indy webpage. Both versions then appeared on the app.
Apologies to those who solved the Indy subscription version of the puzzle yesterday for the delay in the blog.

When we see Nimrod’s name on a puzzle we know that we won’t be able to parse some of the clues until later. Today’s offering was no exception.

It’s been a while since we last blogged an Alchemi puzzle, and on our first run-through we were a little disappointed by this one, but……

Well, this is our second Phi blog in two weeks! Is there something special going on tomorrow? Or is this just indicative or maybe more meaningful?

It’s Phi-day again!

An enjoyable puzzle from Vigo today. We rattled through the top half extremely quickly but then slowed down.
Independent 10,107 by Eccles
We had a smile on our face when we realised we had another Eccles to solve and blog.
We are hoping that we may see Eccles among other setters, bloggers and solvers at the Leicester S & B on 4th May (see Eileen’s post under ‘Announcements’ on the home page)
