Well – a bit of confusion in the B&J household yesterday, as this puzzle appeared in the subscription version of the Indy app, with the Tees puzzle that was blogged yesterday by Quirister appearing on the Indy webpage. Both versions then appeared on the app.
Apologies to those who solved the Indy subscription version of the puzzle yesterday for the delay in the blog.

When we see Nimrod’s name on a puzzle we know that we won’t be able to parse some of the clues until later. Today’s offering was no exception.

It’s been a while since we last blogged an Alchemi puzzle, and on our first run-through we were a little disappointed by this one, but……

Well, this is our second Phi blog in two weeks! Is there something special going on tomorrow? Or is this just indicative or maybe more meaningful?

It’s Phi-day again!

An enjoyable puzzle from Vigo today. We rattled through the top half extremely quickly but then slowed down.
Independent 10,107 by Eccles
We had a smile on our face when we realised we had another Eccles to solve and blog.
We are hoping that we may see Eccles among other setters, bloggers and solvers at the Leicester S & B on 4th May (see Eileen’s post under ‘Announcements’ on the home page)

Another Dalibor this Saturday
Independent 10,102 by Wiglaf
It’s a Wiglaf today. He has set Inquisitor puzzles in the past and some difficult cryptic puzzles – this was no exception!
If there are any errors or omissions we may not be able to sort things out until later as we are out walking and bird watching.

Thanks to Eimi for confirming on Monday that today’s puzzle is a Phi – at least some things remain constant while the technology moves on!
We like the new format of the interactive puzzles in the online Indy, but we have complained (along with Eimi and several others) that they do not now include the setter’s name – pretty crucial to cryptic addicts like us! We are told that this issue is being addressed but maybe, the more folk who comment on it, the more likely it is that it will be dealt with quickly.

We always look forward to tackling Hob’s puzzles, so were really pleased to be blogging this one.

Just seeing that we had an Eccles to blog today raised a smile and the solve didn’t disappoint.

We always look forward to the next Klingsor….and here it is!

Another topical crossword from Knut today.
