I have the sense from comments in recent weeks that some of our solvers outside the UK are having difficulty accessing the Everyman puzzle, but I hope they have found a way round that so that they can contribute their thoughts on this one.

I often struggle with a Filbert Sunday puzzle, and this one certainly had some intricate wordplay; but it fell out nicely in the end.

A Quiptic that involved this solver in a bit of pencil-chewing in one or two places, but which fell out nicely in the end.

A sound, pleasing and well-constructed puzzle from Deri. Just right for a quality daily cryptic.
Guardian Quiptic 1,353/Carpathian
Carpathian always gives us a carefully constructed and tractable puzzle for the Quiptic slot, so UK solvers shouldn’t have needed the extra hour today to solve this one.
