A quick puzzle from Bradman this Friday, straightforward for 95% of the grid. A couple of clues were significantly tougher than the average for the crossword and that kept me from a finish that reflected the rapid start. Apologies for the late post, had saved a draft and then got tied up with some errands.

A brain-twisting experience from Gaff, more so since I didnt see the FT site version which has the preamble (that Geoff later pointed out to me). Made steady progress through the grid until I ground to a halt in the SE quadrant. Needed the prop up from Gaufrid to fill in the blanks.

One the day of the Brexit, if Wanderer was the setter, the solver/blogger could be aptly described as Flounderer.

An unusual visit from Orense today this Friday, thanks to whom for a clean pleasant challenge. I stumbled, on a couple of clues especially in the NW quadrant and needed a little push to get over the line.

A breezy puzzle from Bradman today. Good fodder for beginners on the FT. Clean cluing and a few full length clues made for a pleasurable solving experience.

A pleasant challenge from Wanderer this Friday. Clean cluing meant a steady solve, and also one new word that I learnt today.

I found this easier by Bradman’s recent standards – some clues gave me reason to quibble but otherwise a pleasant smooth experience.
Financial Times 15,245 by MAGWITCH
A very pleasant challenge from Magwitch following the Pareto principle of 80% of the clues taking 20% of the time and vice versa. Thanks Magwitch for a breeze this fine Friday morning. I think my parsing for 17d can be improved upon.

A pleasant challenge from Wanderer today. Good to see some 15 lettered solutions which are becoming a bit of a rarity. I was held up on 19ac and had to resort to looking up Chambers to get the solve. Hunted for that elusive nina, it remains elusive.

I found Bradman today to be harder than his usual self. As a result, it wasnt a very enjoyable experience for me and I had to get some help for a complete solve. Thanks Geoff, for the prop up.

An excellent challenge from Wanderer this morning! Truly relished the challenge despite coming up short on 1 clue for the solve, and another for the parsing. Thanks to Wanderer for a great workout and to Geoff for the help where needed.

What a treat from Alberich today!! Unsurprisingly, a delectable mix of clues covering the entire spectrum from easy to seemingly bewildering (frustratingly so at times!). Thanks a lot Alberich for a super challenge. I am not ashamed to admit I had to google a few answers to confirm but the cluing itself was precise enough for me to arrive very close to the solution in these cases.

An enjoyable puzzle from Mudd with the usual mix of mildly cryptic to seemingly obscure clues. Thanks Mudd for a pleasant workout.

Bradman gives us a very easy challenge today. Very straightforward cluing with an unusual number of anagrams I thought. Good fodder for solvers starting on the FT.

Fun crossword today from Sleuth. Made rapid progress thanks to clean unambiguous cluing. Busy day up ahead so unfortunately dont have time to do justice in the preamble.
