Bradman, yet again for me. And he doesnt disappoint, having served up an interesting and intuitive grid. Quite a few clues where I was scratching my head before coming up with the answer. Loved it, thanks Bradman!!

A fairly easy one from Peto, restoring some confidence after the drubbing from Gaff earlier this week. Steady progress for most part, with the NW quadrant providing some resistance.

Nice workout from Falcon, thanks to whom for setting an approachable Friday grid. Progress was initially sketchy but became steady after getting a few big clues in (especially 5d )

Tough day at work today so wasnt really in the right frame of mind to attack this puzzle. Nearly gave up before gutting it out. Thanks to Bradman for an excellent workout – I really loved doing this despite my less-than-ok frame of mind.
I had to get help from the internet for 7d but otherwise it was smooth sailing. Did need some assistance with parsing some clues though, which Geoff kindly helped with.

Falcon’s poser for today was quite a breeze, to the point that I did feel a few clues were not cryptic at all. However, for tyros looking to cut their teeth into FT grids, this would be a gentle initiation.

Thanks to Bradman for a grid that was a pleasurable walkthrough, much like yesterday’s from Magwitch. I needed a bit of help to check my answer for 15d. My last two answers in were 10A and 14A which I had trouble with parsing.
Also – thanks to Gaufrid for covering for me last week . Have a good weekend all !!

I had to attempt this puzzle in 2 parts – once at the start of the day and again, after I had finished at work. Unfortunately, I still havent been able to successfully get around a couple of clues, the answers for which I am sure are quite easy to crack. Nevertheless, what I indeed managed to solve was very enjoyable and was taxing just to the right extent. 18ac and 17d are to be finished.
Apologies for not finishing this before putting it up (would love to have been able to spend more time on this before blogging the complete puzzle but wont be near a computer for another three hours).

I am not sure how this is going to show up on the site – PeeDee’s tool was thwarted by a typo in the FT today (ACROSSs being the culprit) and therefore I … Read more >>

This was a tough grid for a Friday and required several attempts before the grid began to show a semblance of respectability. I still didn’t have enough time to finish and needed Gaufrid’s help to chip in the missing clues. (see entries in red)

Excellent grid from Mudd – a most enjoyable Friday solve. Interesting clues all around, with some gems for good measure (1ac, 17d ). More than the average number of double definitions today.

My third time covering Bradman, another great grid to finish the working week with. Thanks Bradman for a pleasurable solve. Just touched down in Tokyo a couple of hours back and immediately got to a wifi enabled location to get my fix for the day.

Once again, the Friday grid has been especially approachable. Thanks Flimsy for a very pleasant run, and with straightforward cluing that leaves no room for any ambiguity.

Quite a fun grid from Orense to round off the working week .. some straightforward clues helped me get started and the tougher ones gradually became easy with more cross-refs in.

A timely puzzle from Sayang ushering in the Year of the Horse, its Chinese New Year over this weekend. I thought the grid was quite straightforward and that the setter had decided to … Read more >>

The second time I am covering Magwitch and just as pleasurable as the first. Thanks Magwitch for a grid that was just within reach, and not having any alien words. Quite a few … Read more >>
