It’s Sunday in Crosswordland. Everyman in The Observer, Filbert in The Independent on Sunday. Life is good.
It’s an Azed competition this week so one entry has no wordplay. Solvers can submit their own clue as part of competition.

After the heady excitement of Cyclops’ 800th puzzle milestone last time out, he is ‘back to the day job’ of producing high quality puzzles satirising the high-and-mighty and playing fast-and-loose with the Venn diagram of cryptic puzzle convention and irreverence…
This was a good example of a Guardian prize crossword with a mix of clues that made you think and clues that fell quite quickly.
A bit of history this week from Da and Sh, two well-known setter/solvers who have migrated here from Listen With Others. This was their first Listener but they have an Inquisitor and Magpie under their belt.
