A typical offering from WANDERER, and always a pleasure to solve. Quite liked the symmetry of the clues including the 10,4s and 4,10s running on the edges.

It is always a delight when one of Klingsor’s puzzles is to be blogged. On his website a while ago, before he had become an Independent setter, he was bemoaning the fact that despite trying for ages he hadn’t got into the dailies. Thank goodness someone has seen the light, for he is one of the very best setters around. This crossword is up to the usual standard: plenty of lovely surfaces, some excellent clues, and a level of difficulty that means the setter loses graciously but not before quite some effort from the solver: all just as it should be.

Falcon gave us perhaps the easiest puzzle of the FT week (as intended) but very well written it was.

Found this quite uneven in difficulty, with a few going straight in and the rest taking much, much longer. Not too much of a spoiler to say that there was a theme in the clues. Favourites were 23ac, 1dn, 13dn, and 16dn. Thanks to Boatman.
I enjoyed this. I would cite this is a great example of how to write a traditional puzzle yet keep it fresh and interesting. Thanks Flimsy.

Thanks to Jason for some nice, multi-part clueing, some ingenuity and a pleasing solve except for one clue, which I think is plain wrong.
