Listener No 4872, “There’s No Place Like Home”, A Setter’s Blog by Bungo
The first Listener I attempted was Listener 4642 – Music Box by tnap. I had been aware of the series through reading the Listen With Others blog, and marvelled at the ingenuity of the setters, and the pandemic having given me rather more free time than I had anticipated, I decided to have a crack at one.

Financial Times Sunday 100 – World by Gozo
The FT’s Sunday series reaches a landmark with its 100th puzzle, which as ever can be found to solve online or download and print at ft.com/crossword. For those unfamiliar with the geographically-themed World puzzle, which appears regularly on the first Sunday of every month, I would recommend this one from Gozo as a very enjoyable entry point…
Guardian Quiptic 1,337/Pasquale
Another fine Quiptic from Pasquale. I fancy that less experienced and improving solvers will have appreciated this one.

Genius no 264 by Pangakupu
June’s Genius is set by Pangakupu.
The preamble says:
Six answers are modified, with one part of each replaced by itself. Their clues are presented in ascending order so that none is entered in the numbered space indicated. Wordplay in each remaining clue gives an extra letter; these spell out the nature of the replacement. Lengths in brackets indicate the number of spaces to be filled at that number; hyphenation and indications such as ‘7 words’ are omitted.

Good morning everyone.
A grid from Tack today, which on first scan looked to have a Euros football theme, which instantly made my heart sink. I’m with the judge in the famous case when told “Mr Gascoigne is a footballer” replied; “Association or Union”. Well, it’s Union every time surely.
