  1. Lovely photos, Jane. Sorry I couldn’t make it – seems like the usual combination of merriment and beer.

  2. Many thanks, Jane, for the photos – and to you and John for arranging such a super do.

    [K’s D – it was, of course. 😉 ]

  3. Thanks so much Jane.

But I can’t identify all the Indie setters. Could anyone help me out with captions please?

Thanks – and I bet I won’t be the only grateful one.

  4. Hi Conrad and others

If you click on the photo, it should switch into a different view, with a (rather inconspicuous) caption underneath. You can then scroll through the photos using the arrows. To switch back into viewing the whole set at once, click on the set name below the photos, to the right.

You may find that things are differently arranged on your screen, but the links should be there somewhere. Flickr is continually experimenting with its user interface, and I don’t think they have achieved anything really intuitive yet.

  5. Hi Jane

Thanks. There was nothing there, but I switched to compatibility view (I use IE 11), and up came the captions. Oddly Flickr told me I would be best advised to switch compatibility off!

I’d like to nab a copy of the picture for my archives (if that isn’t too cheeky) but they all seem protected.

  6. PS Flickr must have taken against me, because IE hangs when I try to look at any of the pics now. Ho hum, c’est la vie.

  7. I can’t speak for Internet Explorer, as I stick to Firefox. I had to re-install IE (having expunged it from my system) in order to access a client’s intranet, and my experience of it only vindicates my decision to avoid it whenever possible.

It’s a bit complicated, but if you right-click on a photo, then view it in ‘Original Size’, you should get a link at the top to download it.

If that fails, and you let me know which photo(s) you want, I can email it/them. But do try the download option first.

  8. More than happy to take up your offer, Jane, thanks. As in a lot of other situations, IE11 didn’t do what it should have here.

(I know what you mean about Microsoft software, but inertia sets in at my age, and I got stuck with them in the latter (PC) half of my non-jazz career simply because every client was Microsoft based.)

I’d just like any of the Indy setters pics, please.

And I owe you. Will raising a glass to you in the meantime do for now?

    Conrad
