AZED 2,173

As always, a pleasant wade through a whole lot of words that one has never heard of. If I explained them all this blog would take ages to read and write, so I shall assume that you have a copy of Chambers to hand and can look these words up.

Definitions in italics (Azed has departed from his habit of using italics at various  times incomprehensible to me, so there can be no confusion)

Across

2 Signal cost ‘varied’ in the spirit of openness (10)

Thanks Azed for the usual enjoyment and John for the blog.

A small error in the parsing of 19dn: It should be rete’s replacing a, not just rete.

  2. AJK

Phew! All correct. Thanks for explanation to ROLLER.
