Dac tends to be gentle, but this was an easy one. There seemed to be no difficult clues today.
Still up to the usual standard, though. As always plenty of lovely surfaces.

I agree, John, absolutely orthodox, and very pleasant, thank you, Dac. I, too, was confused by 3D. I had ..X, so wrote in “Rex”, only to have to soon remove it. Never mind, at least 1A Flatmate wasn’t too hard. 20A Epistyle was the only new word for me today.
Even better than the usual standard, I thought. Not a bad clue among them, but I’ll settle for 1a as my favourite, mainly because “source of cash” wasn’t “c”.
Nothing really to take exception to, except that as a tyke myself I always spell it with a Y.
Thanks, Dac and John
Until the checkers put me right I was another considering ALI for 3dn. As others have noted, another very good Dac puzzle.
It’s all been said before but we’ll say it anyway …….. good clues and lovely surfaces. Just what we come to expect on a Wednesday when Dac is setting.
Thanks to Dac and John.
