A Sunday in May and a tussle with Kruger. 12 misprints to find to reveal the start of a quote. Then some clashes to resolve to find the originator. Then some other entries to modify in order TO AVOID OFFENCE.
Quite a mixed difficulty level of clues and once it was obvious that some answers were too long for entry it all started to fall into place.
The misprints spelled out THEY DON’T LIKE and all of the clashes lay in the central diagonal – the resolution of which was CORPORAL JONES from Dad’s Army.
To complete the quote, it was n’t one to refer to a book of quotations as it was very familiar, at least to me. THEY DON’T LIKE IT UP EM
Nor did the final grid as it, up and em needed to be removed from wherever they occured to complete the puzzle
Many Thanks Kruger for a fun puzzle.
